Hello and welcome,

I have mailed you the C8855 document.

2us was my first known time. Then with the manual it became around 1.8us. However, I have only seen 500ns used for heatup pulses. I have tried with lower pulses of 600ns, and with me it does not cause any ink to jet. I use this for warmup, but rarely use it.

There does seem to be more to it, since I can never jet more than 5 nozzles on a single address at a time. Do you have the channels to see multiple primitives at a time, together with an address?

I would be curious to see what the timing on an original printer is on several channels. For all the work I have done, I never actually have had a working printer to reverse engineer. There is so much I still do not understand, though being able to just print is already fine by me.

Is there a special reason or project you have in mind why you started working with inkjet?

It seems a worthwhile goal you have. A machine like Oasis would already be able to print PCB's, so I see no reason why you should not be able to do something like that. If you need any information on refilling printheads or making heads CISS, let me know. I do have some experience with that.

If you do manage to get a scope on several primitives and addresses at once, please do share. I am very curious to see if I missed things or not.

From the files from acastel, I think the following measures are worth considering:
primitive pulses to warming = 0.6 us
primitive pulses to print = 2.2 to 2.4 us
address pulse duration before applies primitive pulses=~12 us

Despite your objection to the accuracy of the logical analyzer (200 ns), I think it is not enough to explain the divergence between the measured values and those indicated in the patent. What catches my attention the most is the interval between firing the address line and firing the primitive line. The pulse duration of the primitive line is also much longer than that of the patent, which is 1.875us.
