Re: Hacking the HP45
I have a question for those who have gotten the printhead to function properly. I am having few problems with getting the printhead to function as it should. While debugging I noticed that the nozzles are getting really hot to the touch (probably over 50°C). Is this normal or did anyone else encount...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead
After playing with Xaar128-80, I reached some conclusions. There are several advantages and disadvantages compared to thermal printheads. Despite the myth that piezo printhead runs on a very wide range of fluind compared with a TIJ head, it won't run on water. I received an answer from the Xaar (ma...

Re: Diy inkjet PC software
Try doing some sort of run length encoding. You could send single pass like this n[a;b;c;d], where n is padded nozzle number and a, b, c, d are run lengths so this would make a nozzle not fire for a times then fire for b times then not fire for c times and then fire for d times. Of course you could ...

Material Research: using surfactant to coat powder particles
Hello everyone. In recent attempts to use hydroxyapatite (material in human bone) as a 3DP printing material, I found out that it is slightly hydrophobic. By mixing a 0.1% benzenesulfonic acid solution with hydroxyapatite (approximaetly 10 micrometer grain size), then filtering, drying and grinding ...

Re: Hacking the HP45
The ciss for the cartridge can be made at home. I have calculated that the pressure in hp45 (if i have measured everything corectly) that the spring makes is equal to about 3cm of liquid. By taking using this it is really easy to make a ciss just by drilling a hole about 3cm above the nozzles and an...

Re: Hacking the HP45
Hello dear co-hackers :D I have been following this forum for a few months now. I found this topic quite useful so I decided to give you something useful in return. Attached below is a ZIP file, which contains a library for HP45 head. All pins are marked according to the excel file that Dragonator p...
