Re: Hacking the HP45

We used to put solvent through the HP45's and the Lexmark TIJ. Mostly ethanol/methanol. What are trying to do with acetone and powdered plastics? Solvent weld plastic powders? Acetone has a pretty high vapor pressure so it will dry in the heads if left uncapped. I can supply you with UV curable bin...

Re: Tethon ceramic powder

Hello, Earthenware and porcelain are both roughly the same whiteness (unfired). I have yet to fire any parts. None of my printers have integrated vacuums. Is that the aspiration conducts you are referring to? The feeding of the Tethon powder is fairly nice, though the surface does tend to be a bit ...

Re: Tethon ceramic powder

Hi dragonator, which of the Tethon powders you are testing is the whitest one ? and one more question, you said that the powder packs a little bit... do you know if it would clog the aspiration conducts of the zcorp printers ? Not sure if the printer you revitalized has a vacuum aspirator to test wi...

Re: Hacking the HP45

The Xaar 128's can print a binder for sand or other powders. It just can't be aqueous since it is a shared wall design the fluids can not be conductive. Hi notsure, since I'm familiar only witrh aqueous inks, I'll ask you a bit of opinion on solvent based inks . The intent is to use them with the X...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Hi myying,

a bit late response, sorry. These kinds of spreading issues are quite common even on the Projet 660. They are usually due to dirty spreader roller / scraping blade, or more often because of worn out powder (i.e. some of the finer granules have gone after many print works)

cheers

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

About powders I can't help much. I'm still experimenting, but still stuck with the official 3DSystems powder. This is perfect powder but difficult to procure and costs reaaaally a lot (like 1000€ the 14Kg box) My main problem is that alternative powders, even if they print well, would clog the print...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Hi MaxT hmm, I did not think about it, although it is logical, I did not do this before. yes i will resize I think maybe 300x200x200 I’ll make the piston a little bit with a margin; no need to completely fill the piston when it is not needed Hi Masic, that's 12 Liters / 30 Kilos, much more reasonab...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Hi Masic, saw your posts few days ago but didn't have time to comment any sooner. You may want to think again about the desired printing volume. You plan 30x30x30 cm. That makes 27 Liters, filling it with gypsum powder will make 67 Kilograms (roughly 2.5 Kg per Liter) !! That's too much weight. How ...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Hello Inkjet you posted photos about lot's of interesting boards. However you hid the information necessary to search for more info about these boards. This is fair, if you can't share these info, however the photos themselves are not useful to us, unless you explain better what function they do and...
