Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hi Hunter,

On industrial equipment that is marketed a worldwide, these 35V lines are constant and simultaneous.
I have been following this equipment for a few years and have never had problems with Xaar, the only problems reported are from the pump and the firmware.

Re: HACKING an inkjet printer printhead

Hi Angel,

I'm studying about printing. I'm in the other post about XAAR 128 and building my first printer.
I have 3 Seiko 510 heads and would like to learn about them too. I would like to print with them.
I have no focus on 3D yet. I'm just starting to have fun printing on some paper.

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hi Hunterhach, Yes, some print head cleaning equipment does these two processes, forces the outlet initially and then "pulls" the cleaning solution (clean). There are some videos on Youtube showing this process! I used the original code and then modified it to use a sensor trigger. I did n...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hunterhach, I will describe the cleaning procedures I have successfully used on XAAR 128 and Seiko 510 heads: - Using a syringe with cleaning solution compatible with the ink (VERY IMPORTANT: some cleaning solutions react with paints and they finish coagulating and can clog the nozzles) try to remov...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hi hunterhach, When you tried unclogging using the syringe you may have used a force greater than the XAAR could bear! I saw this happening here with Seiko 510 heads! I'm having the same difficulty as you! I use the Kyle project with an Arduino Mega and all the nozzles are fired, I could not shoot i...

Hi,

I have bad connector!
New image:
Upper: MOSI
Lower: SCK (131,5 KHz and 4,4V)

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

The Arduino Mega generates the TTL signals, works with 5V.
I can not see the SPI data. I'll try again but on the oscilloscope I can not see SPI data change.
In the image the upper channel is MOSI and the lower channel is in SCK

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hi, Thanks for listening! In relation to the lines nSS1 and nSS2 they are alternating correctly, CLK is in 1MHz and sometimes it undergoes a small change reaching to drop to 998KHz. I'm using the Kyle project and in the xaar128.cpp file I made a modification to verify that the data was being sent co...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hi,
I'm still trying to make an impression with the XAAR128.
I'm using the files provided in the Kyle project but all I got was firing all the nozzle at once.
I try to shoot half the nozzle but it does not work!
Can you help me?
Thanks!
