Re: Hacking cartridge HP 84/85

That is not what I expected to be on the inside. When you add ink or water to it, does it fill the plastic bellows or go past it. I expect that the ink needs to be on within the black plastic body with the printhead on it and not within the clear bellows to work, but I have a bit of difficulty under...

Re: PowderMaker1 3DP printer

PMMA should be fine for most powders. If you have it clear you can see how much powder is left, which is something I have always missed on my machines. I only have experience with the 3 printers I built, so I am not expert on this, but my experience is that powder has a habit of getting everywhere. ...

Re: Megatronics v3.2 Issues

Do you know what the physical difference is between the header on the V3.2 and the V3.1. I did read through the document a little, but it only mentions what the fix is, and not the problem, and I have difficulty figuring out what is causing you issues.

Re: PowderMaker1 3DP printer

That is a nice looking draft David. What material will this printer be made of? Will it be made of plastic or of some sort of metal? Will you add another to surface to this design or are we looking at the working surface already. If so, how do you plan to keep powder withing the area of the pistons ...

Re: Problems with SD card

What do you do before you start printing? The printhead does need to be cleaned with water before you start printing. If you have not been printing for a while, the printhead needs to be cleaned with an alcohol to get rid of clogs. If that does not fix the problem I would like to see an image of you...

Re: Hacking the HP45

A 555 does not work. While all examples on the internet speak of a 555 being rising edge triggered, it is not. It is can extend a pulse, but not make a shorter pulse than the input. This left me with the issue of what to use. I bought 74HC123 monostable multivibrators. On the breadboard it worked fi...

Re: color 3dp slicer software

I know of none first hand. I know that Wonko has something that is a step in the right direction.

I was considering using that for Oasis, but am still running a piece of prototype code that only does black and white so far.

Re: Hacking the HP45

DMA update. Late due to procrastination and a mystery problem that is now identified. Short recap of what I want to do. I want to trigger the inkjet over DMA. I wrote a DMA driver that worked for 2 full ports. I now have 2 DMA ports that can produce a parallel signal at over 1MHz. I load the pattern...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

Hello and welcome, There are a few people on this forum who have personal experience with the Xaar printhead. I was hoping one of them would be around to reply. I myself do not have experience with the Xaar printhead, nor with any printhead handling aggressive substances. The Xaar documentation also...

Re: Hacking cartridge HP 84/85

I was already waiting on his post. I got an email from him before the conference showing his results. Once I am done with other printheads I cannot wait to try this one.
