Re: Hacking the HP45

Hello, I assume you are currently using the V3.02 for both boards. The only real difference for you is that 1 resistor is connected differently. Other than that there are no real differences. The GTP:-C means that the printhead is not found. Either you don't have power to the printhead, or it is not...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

It depends a bit. Do you need a linear encoder or a rotary encoder. My optical linear encoders have yet to give me much trouble. I know these are also in my Zcorp printer. If you insist on having a fully closed encoder, search for "incremental rotary encoder" and you will get plenty of closed rotary...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Plaster does compress. I do not have hard values, but it is more than 10%, maybe even more than 25%. In double piston machines this is mitigated by compressing the powder in both pistons. One thing that does worry me a bit is if the powder will actually fall from the bottom of the funnel. My experie...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Still here, just working on some things that do not really warrant posting.

The forum does this every now and then. Some good discussions going on for weeks or months, and then mostly silence for another few months.

That is a great looking design. What are your current print dimensions?

Re: Hacking cartridge HP 84/85

I made a connector that holds pogo pins. I will also make an ink supply and a suction cup, and then I can test whether I can send lines to it.

Re: Hacking cartridge HP 84/85

I do finally have the time, and now that you have shared this, I finally bought an HP84 myself. I do hope I can find a few days around Christmas to mess with this. First thing I will make is a connector so I can wire this up.

Re: Hacking cartridge HP 84/85

Thank you for sharing this. I will see if I can replicate this over the next few weeks. You have made a nice summary. For sharing code, you can zip it and add it as an attachment. We might not be able to read it in the forum, but we can at least use it. Looking at the voltages, I have to assume that...

Re: Hacking the HP45

I have not been working as much as I wanted on the Oasis project. Now that the turret is done, it was planned that I was going to work on HP45 related work. However, responsibilities and other smaller projects took the majority of the time. I have done some work again. I have made a controller that ...

Re: New project powder 3D printer ZEUS

Powder composition would not change printer design (much). The bigger issue is that how well your printer prints REALLY depends on your powder and binder. There are a few people who have done work, and you can hope that it will work instantly, but most likely you will need to tweak the powder or bin...
