Re: Hacking the HP45

Wow, that was quick. At least I got it for a reasonable price. This will make me feel less guilty for using it.

Yes, yes it is narrower than the HP45 V1.01 controller.

Re: Hacking the HP45

Got some presents today. It is not a new version of the firmware. I have not done anything to it today. It is a kickstarter I backed a while ago. DSC00062.JPG It is a teensy 3.5 and 3.6. I am planning to use the 3.6 for Oasis. It has enough I/O's and it is more than fast enough. It has a ton of feat...

Re: The T60 power armor

It is currently estimated at 400x400x600mm. It is too soon for exact values. It will have an aluminium heated bed and it will have a somewhat enclosed build chamber. The nozzle will be an E3D with an option for using a volcano. The extruder will probably be an E3D titan. All other hardware is curren...

Re: Hacking the HP45

This is by no means the final controller. Future controllers might have an integrated microcontroller or something like that. The V1.01 is just the next step to the breakout to replace a complete breadboard of wires and components. If you do want to chain 4 V1.01's. You can do it with 26 digital pin...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Daisy chaining itself will not be really possible. It is mostly parallel signals that go to the head. You can save a lot of wires by combining the primitive lines of all heads (and possibly the address lines). The primtives only trigger when the latch (primitive clock) is triggered. You can set up t...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Might as well finish it

Attached is the carrier for the HP45 V1.01 controller as I have it right now. It is identical to this carrier except for the main body. The mechanism is the same and the parts requirements are the same.

Hope it helps.

Re: Hacking the HP45

Attached are the schematic of how I connected it and the firmware as it is right now. The code is only for reference. In the coming few days I will make all the functions working and add layers to the code. The end goal is that I can send an array to it and it will print it. After that I will start ...

@evomotors - Paypal is easiest for me. I can email you or you can contact me through the contact form to exchange information. A small riddle for the sunday afternoon. What is a millimeter wide and costs around 2 hours... A disconnected print enable cable on the breadboard. In all honesty, there was...

I don't know about any general tips I could give. If you do run into trouble do feel free to ask. What kind of printer are you using?

Re: Monster hunter statue

One of the only printers I know of that can handle these impossible kinds of overhangs. The UP! plus (all UP! printers do amazing work with overhang). They only print ABS, but that they print amazing.
