Re: Standalone controller V4.0
It is finished, status LED is working, no errors, no warnings. I will prepare spare RPI now and test how it works on the table. Still, I will try my initial prints with the old driver as that one is fully tested on my side and later on, I will replace old one if all goes OK on the table with the new...

Re: Standalone controller V4.0
Thanks, Yvo. It seems I soldered it right. Without Teensy it drains 22mA, so seems OK. I will upload firmware to Teensy tomorrow and test how it works. All parts are already 3D printed so I will make full assembly this week. For full tests I will use spare raspberry pi 3, so that will be a chance to...

Re: Standalone controller V4.0
Yvo, could you upload images of the driver board without Teensy and in good light conditions (close-up)? I would appreciate that if the image was on the assembly page. It would be helpful as some steps are a bit confusing, so good image would be helpful. Also, I would suggest to fix the mistake on a...

Re: Empiric 3000 3DP printer
I bit of update. As it will be difficult to post-process prints after they are printed without de-powdering chamber, I thought I will make one before everything. I used standard plastic box and made some improvements. There is a huge vent hole on the side to connect suction hose. Hole has removeable...

Re: Hacking the HP45
@dragonator That is fine. I will try to refill that myself and if all goes OK, I have like 4-5 HP45 heads and I might write that description for you. There are quite a few videos on YT regarding refill procedure for these heads. Since you have more experience points, you could then just append that ...

Re: Hacking the HP45
@dragonator I investigated your description on how to refill binder for HP45 on hackaday.io (Oasis), but you also mentioned that you will write more detailed description later. Is it published somewhere or that one is the only one right now?
Thanks

Re: Empiric 3000 3DP printer
Well, anything that starts with dental seems to be pricey. I do not wish to go beyond 10-15€/kg to be honest, yet. Considering that my goal is not plaster, but metals, I just wish to use plaster to understand process parameters as it is less expensive than pricey AISI 316 powder. I tried maltodextri...

Re: Empiric 3000 3DP printer
It is a ribbon mixer. 32.JPG I designed it and 3D printed the hole rotor. I pushed through it a rod of calibrated steel to make it more rigid (it worked as axis) and installed 2RS bearings on both sides. 31.JPG Its purpose was to make small batches of powder mixtures. I also made V mixer, which is e...

Re: Empiric 3000 3DP printer
Yes, they are SLA printed. I thought I will give SLA a try with this one. Some parts were good, some were still made with FDM due to toughness reasons. I am now planning to finalize motor connections to build pistons with GX12 connectors and that would be it. Also I bought quite large plastic bin th...
