Re: Hacking the HP45

It is currently 0.8mm, but if you have a certain diameter you need to make it printable I can convert it in a minute.

Re: Hacking the HP45

I did not have the file I hope I had, but I have tried to make it as good as I can right now. It is 7.2mm thick. I would appreciate it if someone could test it for me. I currently have neither the nozzle nor the printing capacity to test it. HP45 V1.01 template.JPG HP45 controller V1.01 template.STL...

Re: Hacking the HP45

That looks better than I thought was possible. As soon as I have a 0.25mm nozzle again I will try myself too. If you have until the weekend I can design a template that should fit at home. I already have the hole pattern in Solidworks.

Re: Hacking the HP45

@Evo It does not do anything yet. I want to use that to optimize simple shapes. Why stuff a segment of a straight line into the buffer 100 times when you can just say 'that piece of the buffer, 100 times'. It is not crucial right now. @Boooster. Thank you for the amazing images of the printhead. I r...

All new users should now be newly registered and their first post will be up for approval. Until the spam stops these settings will ...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Contacts on the model are with a few tenths of a millimeter on the head I measured it on. For now it was accurate enough for me to make a carrier with. The tiny pieces of plastic on the top back are accurate within half a millimeter.

Re: Hacking the HP45

I used M3 screws and 3 5mm spacers to mount the 2 halves on top of each other. I did make a spacer around 7.5mm thick to put between the boards and the table, but that is only for the distance the pins should be, not the alignment. For that I only used the 2 boards. I would love to 3D print a mold, ...

Re: Hacking the HP45

If that is the difference I will order for myself. I think neither of us will save anything if we combine the orders.

Re: Hacking the HP45

@Jurif -Printheads usually need a vacuum to operate. 3cm positive pressure might give too much pressure and make the head leak. Ciss systems usually require you to put the tanks below the level of the printhead to create the vacuum. A well built ciss system requires no pump. @evomotors -Is shipping ...

Re: Hacking the HP45

That was quite a bit of posts in a night. The HP45 is only in black. There are heads in more colors, but they aren't hacked yet. The HP23 is the same as the 45 in hardware, but only has around 96 nozzles for each of the 3 colors. The HP23 is also supposed to be more fragile than the 45. The plotter ...
