Re: Hacking the HP45

Address side needs to face the HP45 with the text (and the components) facing away from the printhead. The primitive side is on top of that (with a roughly 5mm spacing) also with the text facing away from the printhead. Address side has components on only one side so it can be mounted flush against ...

Re: Oasis 3DP printer

More work in progress. DSC00099.JPG DSC00102.JPG Qux_erpAdWs I soldered the circuit of the Oasis controller on a piece of prototype board. Progress is slow as expected, but I drew 16 hours for this controller and think I will be finished in 10 hours, so yay me. A few alterations to the original sche...

Re: Hacking the HP45

As per request, the schematic of the HP45 V1.01 controller, the PCB image to show mainly where the TLC59213 marks are and an excel file with all parts on mouser. In the excel everything after Q2 is normal stock for some people and not really the exact parts that are necessary. They are just examples...

Re: Oasis 3DP printer

Work in progress. IMG_20161103_213214.jpg Oasis controller schematic WIP261102.png The pins are mapped and the layout is determined. I have started soldering the circuit and hope to have most of the functions electrically tested by the end of the weekend. A bit of maths I did when making the pin map...

Re: Hacking the Xaar 128 printhead

It should be possible if it has the right viscosity. Piezo has no special interaction with any fluid. I sadly also lack the experience with the Xaar, and my time is currently tied to overtime at work and Oasis at home.

Re: Hacking the HP45

Purple look glorious.

Where did you have them made. They look nicer than the boards I buy.

Re: Oasis 3DP printer

After spending the best part of 1 hour mapping all 62 available pins, I now think I have everything I need. This should not be that interesting for most, but I wanted to share it anyway as a step in the process. The summary is this: 3 pins for ram control 12 pins for ram addresses 5 pins for ram Sub...

Re: Hacking the HP45

It is probably a mistake in the design process, but one of the offset pins (27 and 28) is lower than the other one and breaks the pattern. Luckily this should not affect the function of the controller. I have made a version with the offset pin in it. This one should be right. HP45 controller V1.01 t...

Re: Oasis 3DP printer

The gantry is complete. I still need a few tiny parts to get everything moving, but all 3D printed parts are there. The basics of the cable routing are also thought out beforehand. DSC00079.JPG DSC00095.JPG I have started on the controller. I am first going to make a schematic and plan the pins out ...
