BrundleFab slicer: Now with plugin support!

I've updated my Python based BrundleFab slicer to have a class-based mechanism for printer control.

For people that are doing a roll-your-own powder bed, this may be a useful framework.

The European model is numbered TM-C610, but is otherwise identical

Re: EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

Ah, but that's the problem I'm alluding to in the previous message: this is a CMY printer, not a CMYK printer.

No black.

And EPSON printheads a take water based inks nicely. I ran distilled water and food coloring in a XP-320 machine, and it printed fine (oddly colored, but just fine)

Re: EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

And... I just realized that I can't do full color 3D printing with a CYM printer. Black = CYM = 100% binder Red = YM = 66% binder Green = CY = 66% binder Blue = MY = 66% binder Write = nothing = 0% binder So, can't print White. Or any pale colors. Damn. I guess it'll have just be a really damn fast ...

Also known as 'contact cement'.

Comes off very easily from almost any material, except for very fluffy fabric.

EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

Ok, I liked the Ithaca POSJet 1500... But I am loving the EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610. It's cheap in the US - grocery stores are literally throwing them away... http://www.evillabs.net/index.php/EPSON_TM-C600 They print VERY fast for a label printer: ' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yA1hWPqfqIE Prints in...

Re: The T60 power armor

Looking good!

I highly recommend a product called "rubber cement" for attaching pattern paper to objects. It's pretty easy to remove when you're done.

I used it for the sheet metal portion of BrundleFab:

Re: Ithaca POSJet 1500

Teardown was quite successful. The main core of the printing unit forms an 'arch', and I should be able to have this arch surround the powder handling subsystem. There are two steppers that are separately controlled by the printer - the platen roller (paper advance) and a cheque validation roller. B...

Re: Ithaca POSJet 1500

Other than some garbage at the end of the raster line, looks like I've got the "print out layers" portion of the task completed.

Now to move on to teardown, and development of the powder handling mechanical motion.
