Re: The T60 power armor

Delta calibration actually gets easier the larger they get, so long as your nozzle size scales also (I mean, I wouldn't try to do a 0.4mm nozzle on a three meter tall delta!). The delta error is better than linear - sqrt(error in rod length^2 + error in tower position^2 + error in carriage position^...

Re: Hacking the HP45

I know some HPs have an optical nozzle spit check, but didn't know they also had an electrical one. Regardless - yes, I meant only checking for permanent failures at the start of the print run, and adaptively modify the coverage planning to make sure all dots are covered after the full left-right cy...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Nozzle condition test:

I have never seen this feature before on a printer.

You may want to consider filing a patent for the concept.

If not that, you can at least use the data from a nozzle condition test to do auto-correction for dropouts when printing.

Re: The T60 power armor

Thanks for the update - I'm very interested to see what your plans for a large-scale printer are. Most of the 'successful' large scale printer designs are Deltas, so you may want to investigate that avenue. Let me know if you need any assistance on Delta printer design or calibration. Also, for larg...

Re: Hacking the HP45

Very impressed!

Hopefully I can get my TM-C600 project moving along soon, too!

Re: The T60 power armor

Nice to see your progress. I have also been swamped by work, sickness, and ennui. Hopefully I can dust off the TM-C600 mini-powderbed printer in the near future myself. Got to get as many projects done as I can before July 21. (At which time, I will lose a month or two to playing "No Man's Sky&...

Re: EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

I used the drivers from: https://download.epson-biz.com/modules/pos/index.php?page=prod&pcat=2&pid=14 Just force it to use the C610 drivers on the C600, and it works fine. For my powderbed printer software driver, I've integrated the escape code generation in: https://github.com/ezrec/Brundl...

Re: EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

The ink tanks are easy to swap out - but there is some sort of serial EEPROM going on. The ink tank doubles as the ink waste area - no 'big foam pad' in this printer to go bad with sputtered ink. I have some spare ink tanks, so as soon as I burn through this one, I'll compare the EEPROMs and see whe...

Re: EPSON TM-C600/TM-C610

I've got my head wrapped around this beast, and can now control the 3 ink heads - in both 180DPI and 360DPI (MicroWeave), and the form cutting solenoid. Control integrated into my https://github.com/ezrec/BrundleFab-software generalized powderbed printing slicer. Now just to get another one from e-b...
