Hi Sean,

Could you share information where to buy those things? I look for it to develop a printer using FPGA based hardware.

:)
Hi, sorry I didn't login in for a long time, just get your message right now, i have send you my email by PM.

Hie,

@dragonator.... I have tried to build HP45 driver circuit using Arduino Mega and TLC59213 it was working too. When i was shifted to HEF4017 4018 for addressing i am facing some issues. I am not getting the output as i have got with 5 TLC ics.
But my planning is to build the driver chip using xilinx fpga and 2n7002 mosfets. Can anybody guide me to do it. Thanks

Hello and welcome Priyashree

Do you have any schematics or images of your circuit. The 4017 circuit has not really ever failed me, so I am curious how you are doing it.

Hey guys, how are you? First of all thank you very much for all the information you have given in this forum! I've been following it for a long time and we were talking to Yvo through hackaday a lot, we greatly appreciate the help you have given us.

I come with a couple of concerns that maybe a member has already resolved or has a way to go.

First topic to ask is the printing speed. The development that we are doing is punctually a machine to print books which legally cannot be disarmed (yes, it is something very third world within Argentina). taking into account Yvo designs for oasis and applying Dma in terms of firmware. What should we see more than anything? electronics? Simply optimize the firmware ?. The idea is to reach at least 200/300 mm / s print speed. Which we can mechanically achieve but not to print at those speeds with a quantity of readable ink.

The idea of putting 2 TLC in parallel to obtain 400mA in the primitives I like, may be one of the solutions to be applied to obtain more ink ejection at those speeds.

We are currently running the head with a Teensy 3.5 at 120mhz which brought us some slight benefits in terms of ink.

I hope to open a debate on this topic and be able to generate new ideas regarding the speed of the system, all the information we obtain in our laboratory will be shared by this means, and as soon as you finish the oasis rewrite in C # we will pass it here.

Of course I am grateful for any help that is provided and I send you my regards.

Hello and welcome to the forum.

It is a bit quiet at the moment, but most people do take a look occasionally. If they cannot help I am already set to start again somewhere around September.

Best of luck

Hi, first of all, thanks for your great work and documentation. I am more or less expert of FDM and SLA 3D printing, but getting my hands on BJ at the moment. I was wondering, do you have PCBs for HP45 control board? Also do you still have connectors or at least STL files of those connector heads? I would be able to print them via SLA I think (or at least modify drawings to make SLA a viable option). I was also wondering if it is possible to source those pins and springs somewhere. Thanks!

I currently only sell connectors. https://www.tindie.com/products/dragona ... connector/

I am finishing up a few more small things here at home, and then I will resume work on the inkjet controllers. However, do not expect anything more for sale for a few more months.

As for the files and or pins/springs. I only sell them together, else I will be stuck with either too many springs or pins. I sourced them together from a company called CFconn. I can share files on request (if they are not already on the tindie page) but I only sell whole.

I am trying to get components for your HP45 driver (3.01/3.02), but I am bit confused with some ICs as current available options are not exactly ones you described.

1. HCF4081. Right now I am able to find HCF4081BEY (but it is DIP version) only at some local vendors and chinese vendors. There is also HCF4081M013TR at mauser. Is there a difference between HCF4081 and HCF4081XYZ and similar ones? Moreover, chinese had only dip version which is discontinued. Do you know some suppliers here in EU?

2. HEF4017. I have also found only HEF4017BT,653 version of this and when I take a look at datasheets there seems to be a difference among them. For example a list of options is here: https://www.alldatasheet.com/view.jsp?S ... rd=HEF4017

3. TLC59213. I am able to find TLC59211IPWR only at most local vendors and chinese. Mauser also supplies IPWR version TLC59213IPWR at the moment. Do you know some places in EU, where to get correct one you used?

4. In your BOM, there is stated "Random smd diode" with package 0603. However, I am not able to find any general purpose diode with this footprint. Could you clarify this one?

5. PMV20XNER. Do you know suppliers here in EU? I see mauser has some, but it is US based (as far as I know).

That's it for know :) I am purchasing components, so there will be some more questions, but right now that's it :)

Thanks!

I can provide the links to where I bought. Mouser is indeed American, but has no issue shipping to the Netherlands. The rest of Europe should also be fine I think:

4081: https://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/595-CD4081BM96

4017: https://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Tex ... FoROzIo%3D

TLC59213: https://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/?qs ... jRq4xRlA==

PMV20XNER: https://nl.mouser.com/ProductDetail/Nex ... DAaQ%3D%3D

The diodes you can leave off for now. They are simple ESD protection on the encoder, and I so far have never used them.

Thanks, great! Really appreciate that.

By the way, if someone is willing to make PCBs, quite nice supplier: https://jlcpcb.com/

I ordered: controller board, 5 units, for 4 dollars (80ct each) and driver board (gold plated), 5 units, 18 dollars (3.6 dol. each). They also have cheap shipping options and ships withing 2-3 days depending on color selection and surface. First order has 6 or 8 dollars discount, so you can basically get free "slow" shipping or get decent discount on DHL.
