For most piezo heads keep the viscosity around 10 cPs at the jetting temp for the fluids and inks. It varies a bit from model to model but it's a good ballpark to be in. Watch the drops and then tweak based on results. Any particles should be <1um as good rule. Most heads have some sort of filter in the 1-20um range. And you want the particles to be 5-10x smaller than the filter pores.

Hey Evo! Well I went back to school (CS Masters) and life has happened and I had to stop the Xaar project. I’ll attempt to do a video but I’m having a major problem with ink delivery. Does anyone know how davidk or anyone as a matter of fact handle the ink delivery system? My printhead always seems to be either bleeding ink or not taking enough ink. Electrical wise I’m golden but for the life of me can’t figure out the ink issue :( . Please keep in mind that I got an UV ink from Kao Collins for Xaar 128 specifically so there shouldn’t be any ink compatibility problem.

I made a capping system with a silicone gaslet for the head and a peristaltic pump to suck the ink when cleaning. This way, whem the pump is stopped, the capping is sealed so ink can't drain. On the ink supply side I used a DX4 Epson damper which can provide the required vacuum. On top of this (300mm over head nozzles) is the ink reservoir. The vacuum is made by the damper. Please look at my previous pictures to see what I'm talking about.

You want the ink at a slight negative pressure entering the heads. -100 to -800 Pascal.

I'm a engineer.I do service for machines which use the printhead XAAR 128.The ink supply system is pretty simple in these.Place the ink in a sealed bottle and make sure the ink level is below the printhead.Make two holes in the bottle and place head pipe in ink.place another pipe above ink level.Inject air through the air pipe using a syringe so that ink comes out from print head.Wipe the base of the print head with a clean cloth or a tissue and test your printing.Can send images if you need.

anybody can help me find a Pin out for KONICA MINOLTA 512 or 1024 or 512i printhead?

Do you have apart number? Why the KM heads? I'd look at Ricoh for reliability.

Please suggest a photocell relay to activate the Arduino and Xaar to print, for web printing..

Please suggest an encoder which is compatible with this Arduino and Xaar, again for web printing.

Note that Xaar licenses ink manufacturers worldwide to make solvent, eco, and uv inks for Xaar. In addition, there are Xaar licensed flush solutions and printhead maintenance sprays which could be used as starting formulations for nanoparticle inks.

For example (Kao) Collins of Cincinnati Ohio USA offers these starting formulations :

Available Ink Formulations for Xaar
Oil-based black
Oil-based CMYK (process)
Oil-based spot color
Solvent-based black
UV curable CMYK (Cationic and Free Radical)
UV curable spot colors (Cationic and Free Radical)
LED curable CMYK

I have a lot of used KM heads lying around and I can experiment with those.i have KM 512LN 42 PL & KM 512i 30 PL

You will not only need pinouts but all the timing diagrams. They far more complex than the xaar 128 heads. But you can program the firing wave forms.
