AER9 Laser Rifle
Re: AER9 Laser Rifle
Hey, I was interviewed at PAX wearing the Pipboy and AER-9 that you made, turned out great, and got a nice plug for your site! Sorry I messed up the name initially, but I found em after and got the correct name.

Finally have mine finished. Just made the static prop nothing works, but I might try a "deluxe" model in the future.
I also have not decided if I want to weather mine. I kind of dig the brand new look.

That looks incredibly good. What did you use for the yellow cable. It has more texture and I like it. Weathering is always a difficult question. I like the look if done right, but you are first making a pristine prop, only to make it look beaten up later.Ras_Thavas wrote: ↑Fri Jun 15, 2018 12:36 am Finally have mine finished. Thanks, glad you like it, and thanks for creating the files! I used a piece of white braided nylon rope, the kind Home Depot (big chain hardware store here in the US) sells from bulk spools. I cut it to size then dipped it in yellow Plasti Dip. I really liked the way it turned out.
I made some files for parts that you used aluminum for.
Clamps for the cable. Although it has two screw mount holes I just cut one off after printing it.

The lever to eject the MF Cell. It sticks out kind of far the way it is, I heated it a bit and bent it so it is closer to body of the rifle.

Bottom tube, in two pieces with a connector.

Feel free to use them as needed.
